The Checklist of Fantastic Literature, BLEILER, Everett F.
1 BLEILER, Everett F. The Checklist of Fantastic Literature

BLEILER, EVERETT F. The Checklist of Fantastic Literature, Chicago: Shasta Publishers, 1948. Octavo, first edition, pp. xix, 455, burgundy cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Intro by Bleiler with a huge list of "science fiction, fantasy and weird books" by author giving title, date, and publisher but not much else; still, the book was a huge achievement for Bleiler, considering he was a pioneer working with little reference to use. The outrageous Hannes Bok dust jacket here is hard to find intact. Condition of this book: Jacket is chipped at edges with small loss at head of spine, darkened, with damp stain on the back panel. The book is very good, with a few minor marks and dust-darkened edges.
