8 negatives from the early days of film photography, probably 1906, showing railroading in and around Horace, Kansas, taken by an unknown photographer. The negatives measure about 3.5 inches square. As far as I know, no prints exist, and I don't intend to make any. The caption information here comes from a packet holding about 100 similar negatives showing various scenes in the South and Midwest U.S. The photographer was thoughtful enough to write down some details of his work, which created an excellent historical legacy for us 21st-century collectors.
