A Daughter of the Sioux, New York: Hobart, 1903. 12mo, first edition, pp. 306, red cloth boards with gilt-stamped lettering on spine and upper panel, full-length color image of a Native American on upper panel, top edge gilt, 8 illustrated plates by Frederic Remington and Edwin Willard Deming (4 each artist, all black and white). King, a noted writer on the U.S. Army's campaign against the Sioux, here turns to a fictional account of the times. Condition of this book: Bright and clean with a touch of sunning at spine, faint rubbing at spine ends and corners of boards. Leaves clean and tight, with toning and one small stain at edges, images fine.
